If you are a member of the International Church of Christ, you'll be asked to perform an x amount of hours of work for them in the form of pulling people over and telling them how awesome the ICC. First, they invite them to a Bible Talk. If the person likes it, then they schedule Bible studies. Basically, they sell the ICC to the potential convert and since the potential convert believes that there is some kind of God and Jesus, they figured that they can control them by using Bible scriptures. Thus, the potential convert usually has no choice but to follow it since the Bible obviously says it. Normally, every Christian has to follow what the Bible quotes because God says so. In fact, this business of following scriptures is continuing to be practiced for the last 1,962 years.
What I put here is based on my own analysis and comparing different versions of the Holy Bible, specifically the King James Version and the New International Version (which the ICC uses). Some came from my own observation since I started living around thiis group. This is specifically observed on Matthew 28:18. Therefore, you have to be careful with what you do when you associate with these people because this is how they will sell you their church and they're basically out there for one purpose - that is numbers (the more numbers, the more tithes) and money (since they use Malachi 3 on the imposition of guilt of robbing God).
If this is the case that Jesus said, where did this pyramid structure surface within the ICC with Kip at the top of the pyramid and then you have the middle men like Douglas Arthur, Ed Townsend, Marty Fuqua, the Floreses, then the Bible talk leaders, and then it goes on until finally getting to the bottom of the pyramid where you may or a potential convert would be. We all should be directly accountable to Jesus. Reporting to a discipler should be based on him wanting to ask for any advice/opinions/comments about your daily Christian life. No one should be forced to see a discipler and have to obey him blindly whether he's right or wrong. If he knows it's right, then he's right. If he's wrong, then he's wrong. The bottom line is that this business of one discipling the other is being abused.
Jesus did not say to make disciples. He said to teach them and baptize them in their names. Compare the KJV to the NIV and see which one is correct. To tell you the truth, I don't know. What if the KJV contradicts with the NIV. I can't say because it's not for me to say. I am convinced that the Bible will not contradict itself, but the translations may be misleading. What if the original manuscript of the Gospel of Matthew, written in Aramaic, didn't agree with the NIV? I never knew whether the Aramaic version translates to what is now written in the KJV or the NIV may be correct.
The NIV replaces "observe" with "obey." Can you equate those two words? Maybe or maybe not. What if it meant something else in the Aramaic or the Greek version. Then we could be in trouble if we misunderstood these passages, won't we.
Well ladies and gentlemen, it is absolute that you understand what thess scripture means. Don't forget who's side are you on. If you are willing to observe and follow these scriptures even if you have to suck on your noodles one at a time, then there's no way that you will deviate from the word of God. If you're planning to add something to it or change it, it would be just like what the Apostle John has said in Revelation 22 about altering the prophecies of his book. One thing you should know is that the Bible will not contradict itself. However, what the ICC does with Matthew 28:18-20 constitutes a deviation from what Jesus said, starting with verse 18. To be on the safe side, don't let any of these people use the Bible to tell you what to do or run your life.
I hope you understand why the ICC is able to bring in the
numbers. They know how to hide the fallacy shown in verse 18 and if
you ask them about it, they simply stonwall you by dodging the
issue. This has already been addressed to the upper echelon of the
ICC and the issue was stonewalled by kip mckean. Several
opportunities has been given to them to correct this error, but
they never give any effort to correct it. So you know that the ICC
leadership has to give something up to make this correction
possible, that is their leadership and control of the disciple that
are pressured to tithe.
