to the poor and educational programs (e.g. "Free Teens"
about teenage sex) to recruit new members!
IN CASE YOU ARE CONSIDERING GETTING INVOLVED, YOU SHOULD KNOW
THAT:
A. "Rev." Moon, the founder, claims to
be the Messiah, the "Return of Christ"! He served
a 1 1/2 year prison term in Danbury, Connecticut, for tax evasion
and has been married three times. HIS GOAL is a TOTALITARIAN WORLD
THEOCRACY.
"In the Medieval Ages, they had to separate from the cities - statesmanship from the religioius field - because people were corrupted at that time. But when it comes to our age, we must have an automatic theocracy to rule the world. So we cannot separate the political field from the religious."

As the investigation states on p. 315,
"To achieve this theocracy, Moon has mapped out strategies for gaining control and influence over economic, political, cultural, academic, media and religious institutions. The efforts of the Moon Organization are to be concentrated on key nations.
"If we can manipulate seven nations at least, then we can get hold of the whole world: The United States, England, France, Germany, Soviet Russia, and maybe Korea and Japan. On God's side, Korea, Japan, America, England, France, Germany, and Italy, are the nations I count on in order to gain the whole world."

The report continues (p.315): "Moon's strategy is designed to influence a wide range of institutions.
"We must approach from every angle of life; otherwise, we cannot absorb the whole population of the world. We must besiege them."

B. Upon accepting his teaching, the "DIVINE PRINCIPLE",
you will be expected to:
1.) Commit your entire life to his cause, the "establishment
of Kingdom of Heaven on Earth" under Mr. & Mrs. Moon's
(i.e."True Parents") dominion.
This will eventually mean quitting your school, your job, leaving
your family and friends, "raising funds" (by
selling "laser etchings"= foil pictures, flowers, etc.)
and "witnessing" (recruiting new members) for
16 to 20 hours per day (Sleeping 4 - 5 hours average)! (Although
CARP members may deny it - ask them what else they are doing and
when and for how long they saw their family last!!! -)
2.) Get up every Sunday morning at 5 am to bow to the
picture of Mr. & Mrs. Moon, the "True Parents",
pledging your life to them with a Korean pledge!
3.) Accept Mr. Moon's choice of your "eternal"
spouse for you - as he has already chosen thousands for others.
The last MASS WEDDING took place'92 in Korea, with 40,000 couples
being matched and married by Mr. Moon. (Most CARP members
who had been involved for 3 months then were "blessed"
at this occasion - ask them! Moon is believed to be able to see
7 generations of your ancestors to match your spouse.)
4.) Follow your leader or "Central Figure"
(CF) with absolute obedience - having to ask him for permission
for almost everything, including whether you may see your family
or not! You will also be required to accept his scolding
and disciplining if you do not accomplish the goals (for
fundraising and witnessing) and directions he has given you. You'll
need to fast and take cold showers.
5.) Disassociate from anybody and any source of information
which is critical about Moon and his worldview - because they
are "invaded by satan"!
6.) Sell flowers on a streetcorner and in restaurants
on all major holidays like Mother's Day and Thanksgiving - even
if it is below freezing temperatures!
How do I know? I did all these things as a member for nearly
7 years! -
