THE GREAT PYRAMID

"In that that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord, and it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of Hosts". ISAIAH 19, 19-20.

GOD'S WITNESS IN STONE

The Great Pyramid is the most amazing structure in the world. It, alone, remains of the ancient seven wonders of the world. The Great Pyramid, built on the rock Gizeh, nine miles South-West of Cairo, is the oldest, largest, and most northerly of the pyramids of Egypt. It is the only pyramid in Egypt with an inbuilt passage system in its superstructure.

The base of the Great Pyramid covers 13 acres, each face being about 5 acres. Its height is 454 1/2 feet, and its base circuit nearly 2/3 of a mile. There is sufficient masonry in the Great Pyramid to build a wall 4 ft. high, 1 ft. wide, and 3600 miles long. Huge stone blocks used in its construction weigh up to 80 tons. The Great Pyramid was built with such geometrical precision and accuracy that it staggers the mind of modern man to understand how it was built. It has stood for over 4500 years!

The Great Pyramid was not built as a tomb. Ventilation shafts connected to the internal passage system made it useless for the preservation of a dead body. Later pyramids of Egypt, built without ventilation, were interior pagan copies constructed by ignorant Egyptians as tombs for their dead Pharoahs. The Great Pyramid was constructed to a blueprint inspired by God, as a witness to the God of Creation, and His great plan of the ages.

The scale of construction is defined on a granite leaf inside the Ante-Chamber. The units used are the Pyramid Inch, a measure very close to the British inch, and the ancient Hebrew Cubit, which is 25 Pyramid Inches. The base length of the Pyramid is 365.24 Cubits, defining exactly in days the time of one revolution of the earth around the sun, or a Solar Year. The height to the apex point of the Great Pyramid multiplied by 1,000,000.000 is the exact distance of the earth to the sun, and the Cubit unit multiplied by 10,000,000 is the true measure of the Polar Radius of the earth. Thus the Pyramid correctly defines the essential measurements of the earth, and its position in the Solar System. All these things were known by God from the beginning of Creation, and were inspired into the architecture of the Great Pyramid, before man through science had the slightest idea of these measures.

THE BIBLE IN STONE

The Great Pyramid has truly been called the Bible in stone. It is unique as a pyramid in that it has no Apex Stone, its top being a flat platform 36ft. square. A pyramid has a single head comer stone. The Lord Jesus Christ spoke of Himself when He said, "The stone which THE BUILDERS REJECTED, the same is become the head of the corner. this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes." Matthew 21, 42. The missing Apex Stone of the Great Pyramid is a clear witness of man's rejection of Christ on the cross.

The Passage System of the Great Pyramid wonderfully illustrates the Bible story, the fall at man, and God's plan of restoration and salvation. The descending passage finishes up in a chaotic sub-terranean pit. This depicts the continuing tall at man under the bondage of sin leading to the inevitable result of the pit of judgement and destruction.

The first ascending passage commences at a point which, on the time scale of the Passage System, represents the year 1486 B.C. This was the year at Israel's exodus from Egypt. The entrance of the passage is blocked by a massive Granite Plug. It indicated the need of God's supernatural intervention to deliver Israel from Egypt's bondage before they could enter His ascending plan at restoration. It was at this time that God turned back the waters at the Red Sea for Israel, and then gave them the law of the Old Testament at Mt. Sinai.

The first ascending passage is a low passage, about 46 inches high, and shows that while man was being elevated by the plan at God, he was still living under the personal bondage of sin, and the "yoke" of the law. At a point representing 30 AD., the date of Christ's death and resurrection, the first ascending passage suddenly emerges into the Grand Gallery. This is a magnificent ascending chamber, 28 ft. high, 7 ft. wide, and 156 ft. long, and is wonderfully constructed. It represents the Gospel Age. Personal deliverance from sin, fear, sickness, death, and all the power of Satan through the supernatural delivering power of the Gospel of Christ, is now available to mankind.

The low horizontal passage which runs off at the lower entrance to the Grand Gallery depicts the rejection of Christ by the Jews. It shows that, without Christ, the Jews could make no further progress, and of necessity continued under the bondage of sin, which is born into human nature.

How the Pyramid passage angle shows the Exodus of Israel through the Red Sea (Old Testament), and the birthplace of Christ at Bethlehem (New Testament). Note the location of the Great Pyramid on the "Border" of Upper and Lower Egypt, and in the "Midst" of the Nile Delta of Lower Egypt.

At the top of the Grand Gallery is the Great Step, two short low passages separated by the Ante-Chamber, and finally the King's Chamber with the Open Coffer. These represent generally world tribulations, a time of spiritual preparation for God's people before the coming of the day of judgement, and finally the second coming of Christ to reign as King of kings. The Open Coffer indicates the resurrection of those who, during this present time of preparation, have received Bible salvation, who will rule and reign with Christ in the kingdom of God.

THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND CHRIST'S RETURN.

The King's Chamber is built on the 50th course of masonry of the Great Pyramid. Professor Piazzi Smyth, late Astronomer-Royal of Scotland, one of the many learned investigators who have studied the remarkable' dimensions of the Pyramid, called the King's Chamber "The Chamber of the Standard of Fifty." Fifty is the Bible number for Pentecost, which was the day when the Holy Spirit first fell on the early disciples fifty days after Christ's crucifixion. In the numeric patterns of the Bible, "fifty" is the number that speaks of Christ's miraculous salvation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

You can receive the wonderful Baptism with the Holy Spirit just as at Pentecost! The Bible sign of this experience is speaking with other tongue The 8ible's description of this experience is given in Acts 2, 4, "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance." The King's Chamber, the "Chamber of the standard of Fifty", has the open Coffer, or open Tomb, which speaks of the day of Resurrection at Christ's second coming. According to the Bible. and as symbolised here in the Great Pyramid, it is only those who receive the Holy Spirit, and walk in this experience, who will be ready for the Resurrection, and the Kingdom of God, at Christ's coming. This experience is the seal of Bible salvation, and is available for all.
